Serper alternative
Skip the SERP. Get the passages.
A SERP API gives an agent a page of links and a second job. Gyaansetu reads the results and returns the passages that answer the Query, scored, so the agent can cite instead of fetching.

What it costs
Competitor list prices change; check their site before you decide.
| Typical SERP API | Gyaansetu | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | A result page: links and snippets | Scored passages from the pages themselves |
| Work left for you | Fetch, chunk, rerank | None |
| Free allowance | Trial credits | 1,000 Credits every month, refills on the 1st |
| Entry price | Prepaid query packs | $10 one-time for 5,000 Credits |
| Card to start | Usually required | Not required |
What is different
Answers, not ten blue links
A SERP API hands you the search engine's result page. An agent then has to fetch, chunk and rerank it. Gyaansetu does that server-side and returns the passages that answer the Query, each with a 0-1 score.
One call instead of three
Search plus fetch plus rerank collapses into one request. That is fewer round trips, fewer tokens, and one thing to pay for.
MCP built in
The same two tools are exposed at /mcp, so Claude Code, Cursor and any MCP client can use it without an SDK.
Failures cost nothing
A Search that finds nothing, a URL that will not load, or an error on our side costs no Credits.
The call
One request returns scored passages. No second fetch step.
